Temperate Deciduous Forests are populated largely by trees that lose their leaves each year caused by warm summers alternating with mid winters. This forest type is located in three major areas North America, Eastern Asia, and Europe. One of the greatest examples of this forest type is found in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
